My oh my how time flies....

Not much time to write, but I'm currently working for a startup in downtown Palo Alto and its awesome.

It has been a whirlwind experience this past year as I got the job last June, and this is the first opportunity I have had to write even the smallest of blog entries to tell all those internet spiders how I've been and what I've been up to. (Shout outs to Googlebot, that guys a creeper)

In any case, I appreciate any and all job offers I have received by having had my resume up on the site this whole time. I just took it down so that I wouldn't give anyone any false hope in picking me up :D

That being said, I'm due for a lunch break right about now, so I hope anyone reading this is having a great day, and I hope some of my resources have helped you.

Thanks everyone,

Chris

Say it ain't so Google?!

I just finished reading this article entitled Google turns the page. Its from the OpenDNS Blog which explains that Dell and Google have teamed up to basically install a form of Adware (if not spyware) onto customer PC's. Now, I have seen months ago that Dell was preinstalling tons of Google applications on systems, and the EULA agreement would pop up the first time you boot into Windows which would give you the option of enabling or disabling "PageRank" from the toolbar... but this is far worse.

It is a piece of software that the user never even had the option of disabling, and comes preinstalled on all machines. It loads up advertisements instead of trying to be helpful and point the user in the right direction.

...and to think that I was just growing fond of Dell for preinstalling Ubuntu Linux on their new PC models. ... and Google.. what happened to your "evil" clause in your privacy statement? This sounds like pure evil to me.

Anyhow, give the article a read if you like, and let me know what you think.

Why people really don't switch to linux...

I just read this great article explaining why people don't switch to Linux and replace their Windows operating system.

Heres the link, let me know what you think.

Some updates for all the spiders crawling this blog...

Hey everyone,

Its been a while since I post in my blog, and it seems people are getting tired of reading about how much I despise Windows Vista, so I only have one thing to say about Microsoft in this post. Microsoft is planning on stopping the sale of Windows XP by the end of the year meaning that by 2008 you will no longer be able to buy Windows XP. Instead if you want to run windows you will be forced to buy Vista. This is Microsofts final attempt at trying to force Vista upon the public and its still ridiculously buggy and frustrating to users of all levels. There I said it. Now I shall continue.

Today / Tonight / or possibly Tomorrow, I will be writing an article explaining detailed steps on how to  safely surf the internet. Aside from safety I will outline methods for blocking advertisement servers, malicious Javascript & Flash. I will be taking screenshots, and walking users through exact procedures on how to install the add-ons and utilize them properly.
